PJM – EMERGENCY LOAD RESPONSE PROGRAM
Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA) is seeking proposals from qualified Curtailment Service Providers (CSPs) to manage and optimize RWSA’s participation in PJM Interconnection’s Emergency Load Response Program (ELRP). PJM’s ELRP is a demand response program designed to compensate end-use customers for voluntarily reducing electricity consumption during grid emergencies, helping to maintain grid reliability and prevent blackouts. The program offers opportunities for participants to earn revenue through capacity payments (for availability) and energy payments (for actual performance during events).
